Serious signs of pneumonia

Pneumonia is a breathing (respiratory) condition in which there is an infection of the lung. Patients should remain in the hospital until all their vital signs of pneumonia disapear. When a person’s body defenses are weakened by the flu, bacteria can invade the lungs and cause pneumonia. At times a very serious condition, pneumonia can make a person very sick or even cause death.
Sometimes it is very difficult, even for a doctor, to tell pneumonia and bronchitis apart. If you are diagnosed with a viral pneumonia, anantibiotic will not help you get better faster. Pneumonia is suspected when a doctor hears abnormal sounds in the chest, and the diagnosis is confirmed by a chest X-ray. Pneumococcus is spread through contact between people who are ill or who carry the bacteria in their throat.
